About

The practice began while Charlie Bridge was studying at Central Saint Martins, where an interest in materials and transformation led to early experiments with lost-wax casting. Around the same time, he was growing crystals as part of another studio project and began to wonder what might happen if those two processes were combined, if a homegrown crystal could be cast into metal. Each ring begins as something unpredictable: a unique crystal formed in the studio, shaped by time and environment.

Every piece is handmade in London using recycled silver and small-batch casting methods. Traces of the process are left visible; each ring carries subtle marks, textures and imperfections that make it unique.

Phil Clarke joined Commercial Public in 2024 and brings a distinct perspective that complements Charlie’s design-led approach. Together, they’ve developed a shared language of process and form that continues to shape the identity of Commercial Public.

All pieces are designed and crafted by Charlie and Phil in their London workshop. Working closely with a small network of local casters and stockists, they produce and distribute each collection with the same focus on material honesty and experimentation that defines the brand.
